Restaurant du Rawyl
mercredi, 06 août 2008
The restaurant is situated beside the Zeuzier Dam at an altitude of 1777m.  It is so named because it lies at the bottom of the Rawyl Pass.  Surrounded by trees and forest, the restaurant welcomes walkers who arrive there from a variety of  starting points.  The Zeuzier dam is accessible by road from Ayent, by a footpath along the bisses (irrigation  streams) from Sion, from Ayent and Ro (from Crans-Montana), and also for mountain hikers  (to and from mountain refuges, Tour of the Wildhorn etc.).  The restaurant is open during the summer,  but access may ocasionally be restricted after heavy snowfalls or landslides which obstruct the road.

The Restaurant du Rawyl, with its sunny terrace, is open from mid-June to 31st October.  The chef proposes a varied menu with additional seasonal specialities, and typical game dishes (venison etc.) from mid-September, when the hunting season begins.  Birthdays, anniversaries and parties can be catered for with your own menu  specially created for the occasion.

We can also provide dormitory accommodation for about 15 people at a cost of CHF 30.00 per person per night with breakfast.

We are open 7 days a week from 9am to 6pm from June to the end of August. September to October 6 days a week from 9am to 6pm, for the night please Reservation, the Monday we are close.
